Happy Birthday Chris

Here are some pictures of Chris' birthday celebration. I gave him a movie, a game and a leather jacket. He had picked out the leather jacket a couple weeks ago when we were buying him suits, but I wrapped it up and he pretended to be surprised. We did his big birthday dinner on Saturday night at Sakura's, the Japanese steakhouse we really like.

I've been tagged

10 years ago I was: a senior in high school, dating a guy named Marc, in February it still would have been swimming season so I was managing the school swim team, i'm not sure if I'd figured out yet where I was going to go to college

5 things on my 'to do' list today: 1. Visit Kelli 2. Shop for baby shower decorations 3. Take some clothes to Goodwill 4. Laundry 5.Watch American Idol tonight

Things I would do if I became a billionaire: pay off all our debt, pay off our parents' debt, put my brothers through college, buy two new cars, build my dream house, completely renovate my parents house, buy the family farm

3 of my bad habits: 1. nagging Chris 2. procrastinating 3. being lazy

5 places I've lived: 1. Linthicum, MD 2. Buena Vista, VA 3. Logan, UT 4. Joppa, MD 5. Bel Air, MD

5 jobs I've had: 1. cashier at auto auction 2. mortgage originator 3. vet tech 4. ticket taker at USU football games 5. babysitter

Things most people don't know about me: I have a really bad temper, I can be a little OCD, I've flown a plane, I'm really good at adventure courses, I can outshoot my husband with a .357

My Ken Doll

Chris starts a new job tomorrow so we went and picked out some new suits for him, plus a new overcoat. I had fun in the store telling him what to try on.

Fun at Work

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job? Chris thinks I'm insane for liking it so much, but I do. Since Christmas it has been increasingly slower, which leaves us more time to play. All of the people I work with are really nice and we all get along really well - except for one girl who we all wish would quit and who I wanted to strangle yesterday. Whenever something special comes up, like the Superbowl this weekend, they have us dress up on sale day. So this past Thursday we were all supposed to wear football shirts. Most of you should know I really don't like football and could care less who wins the Superbowl. The shirt I'm wearing is one I bought last year for the same reason, and it was the cheapest thing I could find. The reason for the picture is that we had our picture taken awhile ago for the company newsletter as the newest people on the salvage lot. So I put a copy of the picture on my desktop at work. Then one of the girls got fired, so I had to get a new picture taken so I could replace it on my computer. So we decided it would be fun to take one while we were all in our cute football shirts. The girl on the right is who replaced the girl who got fired, and there's one other new girl, but she didn't want her picture taken. Since it's been so slow lately I'll only be working two days a week for the next two weeks, which will be strange, I'm not sure what I'll do with myself. Then I go back to working full time for awhile. The whole reason I went to work at the salvage lot was to fill in for a girl who was out after having surgery. She now has to have surgery again and since I've already done her job it'll be easy for me to take it over again. Ironically, and thankfully, this is the girl I wanted to strangle yesterday. We'll all be glad to have a break from her for awhile, isn't that awful?
