Key Largo, FL part 2 - dolphins dolphins dolphins!
I could write a whole book on how much fun I had swimming with dolphins - I want to do it every day! Blogger only lets me put five pictures on each post, so these are my favorites.

Key Largo, Florida part 1
What a great weekend! Here's a brief description and some pictures. We got into Key Largo late Saturday night, realized there's no public beaches and switched hotels to one that had a private beach. Sunday we drove down to Key West, played on the beach, had dinner in the hotel's restaurant while watching a wedding and then played in the pool and hot tub after dark. Monday morning we got room service for breakfast, then swam with dolphins (the highlight for me), went swimming in the ocean again, got massages, and had room service for dinner. They messed up the dinner, so they gave us a free breakfast Tuesday morning. My next post will be all about the dolphins - I just have to get the pictures off of Chris' laptop.

5 Years!!!
Although our big trip is next weekend, we had a lot of fun celebrating our 5th anniversary this weekend. Friday night we were sort of housesitting for some friends who have a pool table, so we had a lot of fun with that.
Saturday night (our actual anniversary) we went to our favorite restaurant, Sakura's, and then put an air mattress in the living room and watched our wedding video and the movie we saw on our first date while eating cheesecake bites and having sparkling cider. It was a lot of fun! You can sort of see our new couches, I know I need to take a better picture of them - we love them, we now have six recliners in the living room!

Baby Squirrel
For those of you who don't know, my family is all about rescuing injured or abandoned animals. Most recently my mom rescued a baby squirrel from the dog. She and my dad looked all over for a nest or other babies, but couldn't find any, so they are raising this little guy until he's old enough to be on his own. He loves to be held and cuddled and he's getting used to being fed with an eye dropper. I so wanted to take him home with me!

Let There Be Light!
About a month ago we went to replace a lightbulb in the dining area and realized somebody didn't put in the light fixture properly, so last week we finally got around to buying a new one. Luckily for me I have a husband who knows how to do this kind of stuff.
Here is just a random picture of my parents' dog, Bay, who loves to come to our house because Chris gives her so many treats. At my parents house there's a loveseat that she's allowed up on, so she comes to our house and wants to be let up, so we finally let her up on our laps. We're getting rid of that sofa this week anyway.

I'm A Truck Driver!!
So, you all know I work at the salvage yard of an auto auction and that, crazily enough, I love it. Back in November I had started helping the guys outside, which I rarely do anymore because it's been so slow. For awhile they were insisting I learn how to drive the forklifts, even just so I could say I had, but I always refused. So they let it go for awhile, but then we got in these 18 wheelers from the state and one of the guys bugged me for about a week to learn how to drive it. So I gave in the other day and I drove it around the parking lot. These pictures are obviously not while I'm driving, they were taken after I'd parked it again. It didn't have a trailer on the back (he says that's for next week, haha), so it might not be all that impressive, and you might think I'm a redneck, but I had fun.

We Support Our Troops!
My mom and I have become involved in an organization that welcomes home troops who have been serving overseas. Most of them are just coming to Baltimore for a layover, but it's been fun and they say it cheers them up. Yesterday when we went we ended up having to sit afterwards and wait for awhile before my dad could come back and pick us up. One of the soldiers came over and chatted with us for awhile, he thanked us for being there and said it made hime cry. He said they watch the news and all it says is that Americans don't support the war, but then he came home to this and it made his day. I don't support the war, but I definitely support the troops who are willing to go over there, especially now that my brother is there. Kind of ironically, we were welcoming soldiers home as he was flying over there.
