The state park next to the hotel had these historic natural warm springs that stay at 74.5 degrees all year round. We found this small one with a sign above it saying George Washington's bath tub (1748). We couldn't figure out if that was a joke or what, we did find out that he was part of the original survey team and that he later bought land in Berkeley Springs and frequently went there, but we couldn't find out anything about the bath tub.

This is the hotel, with the spa in the background. The spa was on a hill so while we were in the whirlpool tub we could look out over the town. Which, was tiny. It took us about five minutes to walk through the whole town. It seemed like the hotel was the biggest thing!

This is me totally relaxed and sacked out after the WONDERFUL massage!
